Provincial Honours for Grey Friars Members - WBros Gerry Crawford, Mark Pinion & John Neale
We congratulate three members who have received Provincial honours in 2007.
WBro Gerry Crawford (pictured left) was appointed Provincial Grand Steward and WBro Mark Pinion was appointed Past Provincial Assistant Standard Bearer at Provincial Grand Lodge on Thursday, 17 May, 2007.
WBro John Neale (pictured right) was promoted to Past Provincial Grand Registrar at Three Counties Lodge No 9278 on Wednesday 23 May, 2007.
St George's Night Meeting - Monday 23 April 2007
In 2007 St George's Day was on Monday, 23 April. Happily, this was also the date of our April Lodge Meeting.
At the Festive Board we celebrated the Patron Saint of England and Bro John Morris compared a mixture of traditional songs and hilarity.
We were royally entertained by members of the Townley family with a combination of bell ringing and solos by Bro John Townley accompanied by his father, WBro John Townley Senior at the piano. His mother, Mrs SueTownley and brother, Bro Chris Townley also took part.
WBro Rick Tabiner gave his usual excellent and full blooded rendition of "A Policeman's lot is not a happy one."
The finale, as ever, was the lusty singing of patriotic songs accompanied by much fag waving.
Installation of WBro Tim Maher as WM - Monday 22 January 2007
The outgoing Worshipful Master, WBro Bro Gerry Crawford, installed his successor, WBro Tim Maher.
WBro Tim said, "I was last Master of Grey Friars Lodge in 2002 and enjoyed that year very much. I am looking forward to this year in the Chair with as much enthusiasm as I did the first time round. I think we will have avery enjoyable year."
