Success for St George's Night Meeting - Monday 28 April 2008
St George's Day was on Wednesday, 23 April. This was closely followed by our Meeting on Monday, 28 April.
Almost 140 members and visitors attended an Initiation ceremony followed by our traditional St George's Festive Board.
At the Festive Board we celebrated the Patron Saint of England with a mixture of traditional songs and hilarity.
Bro John Morris acted as Master of Ceremonies.
We were also entertained by the musical talents of the Townley family led by WBro John Townley Senior at the piano.
The rest of the Townley family - Mrs Sue Townley and sons, Bros Chris Townley and John Townley (Jnr) - also took part, particularly in bell ringing.
WBro Rick Tabiner gave his usual excellent rendition of traditional aires.

Family Affair
At its February Lodge Meeting, Grey Friars Lodge was pleased to initiate a third member of the Gansbuehler family. Father, Richard Gansbuehler Snr, Junior Warden, was initiated into the Lodge on 27 March, 2000. His youngest son, Mark Gansbuehler, Inner Guard, on 25 April 2005 and his eldest son, Richard Gansbuehler Jnr on 25 February.

Bro Richard Gansbuehler Jnr was proposed into the Lodge by his father. In seconding the proposition, his younger blood brother, Bro Mark Gansbuehler (pictured right) said, "I wish to second that proposal as I would like my brother to become your Brother."
Provincial Honours for Grey Friars Members - WBros Tim Maher, Alan Bailey & Glyn Wakeford
We offer our congratulations to three of our members who are to receive Provincial honours later this year.
Installation of WBro Mike Britton as WM - Monday 28 January 2008
The outgoing
Worshipful Master, WBro Tim Maher, installed his successor, WBro Mike Britton, at the January Installation Meeting which almost 80 Brethren attended.
Bro Mike said, "I am honoured to be Master of Grey Friars Lodge and I will strive to maintain the standards set by my predecessors.
My installation has been made very special because the Provincial Grand Master has been able to find sufficient time in his busy schedule to be with us tonight."
